Solid Shims to Custom Shapes and Thicknesses

Although Shimco manufactures mainly thin metal shims and parts, we also have the capability of making machined parts from plate, bars and tubes. Normal thickness range is from .001" - .125", but we can machine up to any thickness required.

With our new State of the Art Vertical Machining Centers we can customize any shape and size required with very tight tolerances.

We also supply loose leaf shims which are packs of shims of varying thicknesses so the customer can build up to the required thickness.  This is the exact opposite of laminated shims where the customer peels down to required thickness.

Shimco works closely with reputable Nadcap approved subcontractors for added value such as heat treat, paint, blasting, anodizing, and other processes needed to fulfill your requirements.

Solid shims are made from Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Steel, Copper, Brass, Titanium, Nylon, Fiberglass, Plastics in most alloys and tempers.

Raw material supplied is always DFARS, and complete Mill Test Reports are available with all our products.
