Established in 1985, Shimco North America is a wholly Canadian, privately owned manufacturer of shims from simple rads and holes to complex precision parts made to a customer’s specifications, drawings and tolerances. Specializing in laminated and edgebond shims for aviation, defense, nuclear and other industries, Shimco offers more than 20 years expertise providing innovative solutions to the shim market.
Shimco North America’s capabilities include all Vertical CNC machining and some simple forming. We also offer shim stock in a variety of coil widths and grades as well as raw material such as aluminum, titanium, steel, stainless, brass, copper, fiberglass, plastics in partial sheets. We have short lead times and professional and knowledgeable sales staff.
Shimco works closely with reputable Nadcap approved subcontractors for added value such as heat treat, paint, sand blasting, anodizing, and other processes required to complete your needs.
We are ISO and AS certified which substantiates our dedication to both our customers and our quality assurance policy. The practice at Shimco is to provide First Article Reports to AS9102 or MIL Standards at regular intervals. In addition, we will customize a report format to your company’s requirements.
Shimco North America is registered under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) allowing us to process ITAR controlled items.
